Libre Review and Giveaway - ends 10/19

I love to drink tea, whether it is loose leaf or out of a tea bag. One of the places I purchase my tea is at our local health food store. One of the reasons I purchase it there is because I can purchase it in bulk in loose tea form. It is more economical and has less of an eco-footprint. The only problem with loose leaf tea is trying to keep from drinking the tea leaves. Sure, I have used tea bags made from linen but then you have to wash them and I still have a hard time getting the the tea leaves all out. I have used tea balls and tea ball spoons but the holes are still big and I still get the tea leaves in my teeth! Now I have something much better to use, the Libre.

The Libre Loose Leaf Tea Glass has a health conscious glass interior and durable poly exterior container that keeps tea hot and is cool to the touch. Each one has a removable stainless-steel filter that keeps tea leaves in the glass, out of your mouth and is removable for easy cleaning when emptying the loose leaf tea. Choose from the Libre glass’n poly Original in the (9 oz), Large (14 oz) or the Mug (10 0z). The three Libre Tea styles are all BPA-free.

There are two easy ways to use the Libre:

1) Simply put the tea leaves in the mug or glass, carefully add the hot water, put on the stainless-steel filter, let steep, then drink. The filter will keep the tea in the Libre and out of your mouth. This is the method I prefer.

2) Carefully add hot water to the Libre, put the stainless-steel filter on, add loose leaf tea to the filter, screw on lid, put Libre upside down to let the tea steep. When the tea is done steeping flip the Libre right side up and remove lid and filter, drink tea.

I choose the mug for myself because it looks nice. I think it works great and it does keep my tea warm for quite a while. I have received many compliments from friends and family. I am very happy to have an easier way to use and drink my loose leaf tea.

  3. I learned that loose leaf tea has a smaller eco-footprint. I love a good strong tea..I find that tea is often more relaxing to me then coffee, although I love coffee too! Thank you for the giveaway. I love the mugs and glass for the tea...so elegant looking.

  4. I learned that the theanine found in tea helps boost the immune system to help fight infection, bacteria and viruses; and an 8oz cup of tea every day can lower the risk of developing kidney stones!

  5. I learned that it wasn't until the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), however, that it became common practice to steep loose tea leaves in hot water in a teapot, and then to pour the infused liquid into bowls to drink. Thanks for the awesome giveaway :)
