My husband works hard for the money he earns so the last thing we want is for someone, who would rather work at stealing, to be able to get into the garage to take our belongings. While we don't own expensive items worth taking, we don't want to have to try replace items we have already purchased once. Our home is our sanctuary, a place of peace and safety so the idea of someone breaking into our home is terrifying. I was very surprised when I learned that it only takes 6 seconds for someone to be able to get in the garage by manually releasing the garage door opener with a simple hanger!

The Garage Defender stops people from being able to release the garage door. There are two versions available; The Pro and Basic. The basic version of the Garage Defender is simple to install and can be done in less than 30 seconds. It comes with a large shield piece, a small brace piece, 2 plastic retainers, 1 set screw with c-clip that is attached to the small brace piece.

The Garage Defender is so easy to install, you don't even need tools: Making sure the garage door is closed, put the small brace piece against the J-Arm. Put the shield piece on the backside of the J-Arm closest to the garage door. Aligning the holes, snap the pieces together with the retainer pins. Making sure the shield is as high as possible against the top rail you tighten the setscrew on the small brace piece. My husband installed it in less than 2 minutes. Watch the video here to see how it works. I feel as if our home is better protected with the Garage Defender. Visit Garage Defender to learn more, connect with them on Facebook and Twitter to hear about specials and promotions.
