I am a tea lover, I love nothing more than drinking tea while reading a book. It helps me to relax while savoring the flavor of the tea. I have searched in our local health food store along with the grocery stores for teas such as Gunpowder. I have to drive to another town 5o miles away in order to get some. Simple Loose Leaf ships you a box of savory loose leaf teas right to your door on the 1st of the month for just $17. US members do not pay for shipping.

Each box has 4-5 loose leaf teas (a Black, a Green, a Herbal, Oolong, and a surprise or two), 2 re-usable muslin tea bags and a beautiful card detailing your month's tea selection. I received a box with the following teas:

  • Cranberry Cider Herbal
  • Bird Nest Pu'er with
  • Pumpkin Spice Rooibos
  • Lavender Sencha Green
  • Ceylon Supreme

The surprise was a members discount code good for 50% off on any tea purchase made in January, on their website. Try each tea and order more from our store with a 50% member's only discount!

Measure your tea, then put inside the muslin tea bag. I used Cranbery Cider Herbal, about a teaspoon per 8 oz of water.

Add the muslim tea bag to fresh water that has been boiled. Add enough water to cover the tea.Let steep till for as long as the package directions tell you. This one required 3-5 minutes. The cranberry and cinnamon give the tea a slightly sweet and fruity flavor, perfect for those chilly nights in front of the fireplace.

I just wanted you to see the Bird Nest Pu'er Tea. I put this inside the muslin tea bag so I could re-use the tea a few times. I found this tea to have a bold, earthy taste. I enjoyed it without cream or sweetener, preferring to drink it plain as a great pick me up first thing in the morning. I have really enjoyed the variety of teas that were sent, some were great as dessert teas, some as energy boosters, and others to just sip while reading.
