About Her One and Only:

After ten years in the NFL, super star Gray Fowler is accustomed to obsessive fans.

But when Gray starts receiving death threats from a stalker, his team hires an executive protection agency to guard him until the culprit is caught. Dealing with bodyguards 24/7 is a headache, especially when one of them is a young, beautiful woman. How can a female half his size possibly protect him better than he can protect himself?

Dru Porter is a former Marine, an expert markswoman, and a black belt–none of which saved her from disaster on her last assignment. In order to rebuild her tarnished reputation, she’s determined to find Gray’s stalker and, since relationships between agents and clients are forbidden, avoid a romantic attachment between herself and the rugged football player with the mysterious past.

Yet every secret that leads Dru closer to the stalker also draws her closer to Gray. As the danger escalates, they’ll survive only if they can learn to trust their lives—and their hearts—to one another.

My thoughts:

This is the fourth book in the Porter Family Series and the third one I have read. In the first three books of the series (in order)"Undeniably Mine", "Meant to be Mine", "A Love Like Ours" we get to know the three Porter brothers. In the "Her One and Only" we learn more about their much younger and only sister Dru. While book can stand alone, you might want to read the other books in the series in order to get to know each family member a little better.

Dru is not your average woman, having three older brothers has made her very competitive which gives others the impression that she is a cold person. Gray has his own issues from his past that causes him to have issues of his own, such as not being not have any attachments to woman. This contemporary romance is also full of suspense and we try and figure out who is after Gray and as we find out if Meg and Bo will finally be able to have the family they desire. I found the dynamic between Dru and Gray interesting and believable. I can sure relate to the theme of letting go and trusting. It was also good to revisit some of the other characters from past books. I was glued to the book as I kept trying to figure who was responsible for the death threats.

I am sad to see the series end since I have enjoyed getting to know each family member.  I found it to be a very good read.Learn more at Becky’s website and purchase a copy on Amazon.
