Kid Basix - The Safe Sporter Review and Giveaway - ends 9/13

Kid Basix makes reusable, stainless steel PBA and phthalate free baby bottles, sippy cups, sippy to straw cups, and sports water bottles.

The Safe Sporter is a reusable, easy to recycle stainless steel water bottle that has a these great features:

  •          16 ounces, perfect for kids’ lunchboxes or for a sports water bottle
  •          Dishwasher safe
  •          Wide-mouth for easy cleaning and ice cube use
  •          Plastic coaster to protect the bottle from dents
  •          BPA and phthalate free
  •          Hinged mud cap, to keep the spout clean
  •          Easy pull sports spout
  •          TPR sleeve to protect hands from cold liquid
  •          Single-walled design to make it light weight, maximize capacity and lower carbon footprint

The sports bottle comes in six colors: orange, red, purple, blue, marigold, and sea green. There are 2 sizes to choose from: 12 oz. and 16 oz.
Using this water bottle saves:
Money ~ It costs a quarter penny to fill up the 16 ounce Safe Sporter™ water bottle, whereas, a 16 ounce bottle of water costs about $2.00.
Oil ~ One plastic water bottle takes 5 ounces of oil to make. The oil we waste making water bottles every year would power 12 million cars.
Water ~ A single plastic bottle can take 2-7 times the amount of liquid that bottle holds just to make the bottle in the first place. Almost one trillion gallons of water is wasted worldwide every year.
Environment ~ We recycle less than 15%. The rest end up in landfills, incinerators…or the ocean.

This is Elijah with his Kid Basix "The Safe Sporter" in the blue color. He likes it because it is blue, holds plenty of water and the water spout is easy to pull up. I like it because I am saving money by not buying throw away plastic water bottles and like that the stainless steel water bottle should last a long time.

I learned a lot from their site. I am copying and pasting some of their info that I think is extremely important and that I did not know.

One of the easiest ways to save is to replace your bottled water with reusable, easy to recycle stainless steel water bottles. What kind of savings? Nearly $2000 per year for some families! And consider these other ways we can !rethink: SAVE:

Save our oil. One plastic water bottle takes 5 ounces of oil to make. The oil we waste making water bottles every year would power 12 million cars.
Save our water. A single plastic bottle can take 2-7 times the amount of liquid that bottle holds just to make the bottle in the first place. Water wasted worldwide every year? Almost one trillion gallons!
Save our environment. We recycle less than 15%. The rest end up in landfills, incinerators…or the ocean.
Save $2000 per family and the planet, too? Puts !rethink: SAVE in a whole new light.
