I knew my pre-school aged grand-daughter would love to see the Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure since she loves princesses, Minnie Mouse and Doc McStuffins. So when the tour showed up in Phoenix I knew I had to take her and my son who enjoys pirates.

Take your picture with Jake and Izzy the Pirates

From the beginning, the Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure kept the entertainment going. As soon as we entered US Airways where the show was held, the kids were offered free "fairy dust" to put on their faces/cheeks to having their pictures taken with the pirates. After we loaded up with snow cones in cups with Mickey Mouse and Princess Sofia, cotton candy with a pirate hat and a princess tiara, and a tub of popcorn we were ready to enjoy the show.

Ten minutes before the show began, my granddaughters favorite show character, Doc McStuffins came out for a pre-show where she included the audience to help her take care of one of her favorite toys.

Mickey and Minnie lead the audience before the beginning of Sofia the First and before the Jake and the Never Land Pirates.

In Sofia the First, Sofia and her family are getting ready for a royal celebration where Sofia the First has to come up with a gift to give to her friends. Cinderella makes an appearance to the delight of many and teaches Sofia the meaning of being a true princess.

On Captian Hook's ship getting the treasure map back that was stolen.
Jake and his swashbuckling friends Izzy and Cubbybattle battle Captain Hook and his crew to find the mysterious volcano that has hidden treasure in it. Peter Pan makes an appearance to help out Jake and his friends. Jake finds out what it takes to be a true hero when he ends up helping Captain Hook.

singing and dancing to close the show.

The children engrossed in the show.
Overall we found all 3 performances delightful, from interacting with the crowd, singing songs together, bringing children up on the stage to sing and act like pirates, the audience chanting "arg" like a pirate, great music and the amazing effects. The children loved the sparkles and bubbles spraying down on the crowd.  All 3 of the performances had a problem that needed to be solved so it got the whole crowd thinking of how to fix it, from what was the trucks diagnosis with doc mc stuffins, to what present princess sophia was to give to her friends, and last but not least trying to rescue the captured map from Captain Hook. It showed how if all the friends worked together then they can accomplish anything. There was never a dull moment with lots of singing, dancing and funny parts too. When I asked my granddaughter what she like the most and she replied that her favorite part was "the princess Sophia" and then starting singing the song. My nine year old told me he liked it, it was great and thought it was cool! Us adults found it as entertaining as the children did.

If you are looking for some great family entertainment I highly recommend going to watch the Disney Junior Live On Tour! Pirate & Princess Adventure. To find a show near you visit the Disney Live website.
