A few days ago My Sweepstakes City received a rewards card to purchase an item from Shoe Carnival so that she could do a review of their products. Shoe Carnival stores are what I would like to refer to as 'self service' stores. Where the customer walks in and sees aisles, and aisles of shoe options to choose from. If you a question about an item there are employees available to answer them.
While at the Shoe Carnival store I was pleasantly surprised to find such a wide variety of options. Because it gets so cold here in Chicago I thought I'd shop for a nice 'warm' pair of boots. The store was filled with shoppers so I had be quick in making my choice because the selections were dwindling down even as I shopped. I found several choices that I really liked, but I decided on the pair in the picture below. I have warned them out in the elements several times, and they are so comfortable that you can forget you even have them on.

I have been on my own since 18 and needless to say it's been tough. i have been living off of $200 a month for utilities, gas, and other items. i have finally (after 5 years) saved up for a car this summer and what i thought would be one of the best moments turned out to be hell. i purchased a 1997 ford contour and it has given me problems since day one. it makes me want to cry and give up. however, early into college i discovered couponing and it has been a complete lifesaver. i am known by everyone for "having a coupon for everything". if someone gets a speeding ticket, they ask if i have a coupon! early adulthood has been a complete and utter struggle but it has made me stronger than i thought i could ever be. however, one place that i never was able to spend $ on is my wardrobe. it consists of two pairs of jeans, a few yoga pants, a few tshirts and decent shirts, and a few dress up items i found at this store near my home called Gabriel Brothers (basically a thrift store of unused items -- like a lower-quality TJ Maxx) for $2 and $3 which was awesome. i have a pair of Converse shoes and a pair of slip ons. that's pretty much the jist of it! haha. but either way, i have learned that clothes don't make you and it really doesn't matter what you wear or if you have the newest smartphone as long as you have heat in your house and food in the fridge (and a bachelor's degree in May!)
