I am all ready to go to the 2017 Ren Fest.

I look forward to the month of February every year, not only because my husband and I celebrate our wedding anniversary on Valentine's Day but the Arizona Renaissance Festival comes to our state! Last year we celebrated our 25th year of wedded bliss there. We made sure to have our hands waxed together with silver streaks in order to commemorate our special achievement. Read last years review here. If you have never attended the Ren Fest you are missing out on some exciting fun for the whole family. This medieval amusement park has 13-stage theaters, a 30-acre circus, an arts and crafts fair, a jousting tournament and a feast fit for a king.

This year we went with my brother and his wife. As you can see one of the first things we had to do was enjoy the huge turkey legs and some beverages. Don't care for turkey legs? Don't worry there is so many food and beverage choices that you are bound to find something wonderfully edible to enjoy. Besides the delicious legs we also consumed chocolate covered strawberries, corn on the cob, bread bowl, and fish & chips.

There are so many shows to see that we are never able to see everyone in one day. This year we were able to enjoy the Cirque de Sewer Acrobat with Acro-Rats, Cast in Bronze- The Musical Carillon, Hey Nunnie Nunnie!- Silly Songs of Counseling, and Tartanic- Combustible Bagpipes & Drums. We laughed till our mouths hurt and swayed to the beat of the entertaining music.

There are also some amazing shops that provide you with outfits, hair pieces, decorations, and so much more. This year I added a fan and coin shawl, and hair twist to my gypsy pheasant boho costume. Read about my dress here.

It is always delightful to check out what others are wearing.

Besides the lemonade and turkey legs my 12 year old also enjoys participating in the medieval regalement.

Apparently too much fun can lead to extreme hair growth for men! lol
It was so much fun spending the day in this medieval village, the only complaint I have is that we usually only get to go about once a year since we don't live close by.  I have some family members who do get to go more often. I am looking forward to getting to eat at the Pleasure Feast on one of my future visits.
