How many times have you opened your refrigerator and quickly closed it because of a foreign odor coming out of it? My husband is notorious for coming up to me and telling me how something in the fridge smells bad. Since when did I become the only one qualified to seek out and eliminate the offensive odors? I send leftovers with my boys to school or work so the odor is usually caused by forgotten fruits and vegetables. That is not only a stinky ugly mess to clean up but also a waste of money because they were not eaten fast enough. Having enough of this problem I decided to research ways to help keep my produce fresher. I learned that to properly maintain produce freshness you need the correct temperature, humidity, and ethylene gas absorbed & neutralized. I learned about Bluapple and thought I should give them a try. These little blue apples keep produce fresher longer by absorbing ethylene gas which causes them to over ripen. This is the same way trucks, ships, and warehouses absorb and neutralize ethylene gas buildup. Simply put a Bluapple into the crisper or wherever you keep your fruits and vegetables.
After three months of use you open Bluapple to put in new freshness packets |
The package comes with two Bluapples which allowed me to put one of each inside the vegetable and fruit crisper. I have noticed a big difference on how much longer my fruits and vegetables lasted. I was able to wash each crisper today after all the produce was used up before it went bad, not because there was rotten produce.
