I have a Yorkie that I need to bathe regularly. I was looking forward to trying Yorkie Splash and Shine on her coat since it is specifically made for a Yorkies particular needs. Yorkies have a long-coat with one hair per follicle so traditional dog shampoos don't work as well. Some have sensitive skin, coarse hair, cottony coats, silky coats, dry coats, or oily coats. Trixie has a silky coat and sensitive skin so I had to make sure used a sensitive skin shampoo that would not irritate her skin. Plus find a good conditioner that would help detangle since she would get tangles that would hurt her when I brushed out her hair. I ended up having her Trixie's long silky hair and have her shaved since it was difficult to find the right products for her needs.

We tried the Yorkie Splash and Shine travel set that consists of a shampoo, conditioner, and detangler/finishing spray.  I seriously thought wow this sure isn't much to work with but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to see that I have used the shampoo and conditioner three times now and I still have half a bottle left of each. I have at least 1/2 bottle left of the detangler spray also. The shampoo is chemical free, it is an aloe castile soap that is made from organic oils of olive, jojoba, and coconut. The shampoo lathers well and goes a long way. All three products smell wonderful and leave her smelling clean. The conditioner goes on easily enough and works well even with me using it sparingly. These products gently remove dirt without stripping the skins oils and developes a natural balance in the skin making it beneficial for dogs with oily, dry, brittle, or unmanageable hair.

Soft and shiny

The detangler/finishing spray smells wonderful and does an amazing job of letting me comb through her hair without pulling. I can use this spray for daily touch ups to keep her looking and smelling good.

Trixie's coat looks and feels amazing. I feel that I can now let her hair grow out once again.
