I have been married for over 20 years and one of the first things I told (okay, demanded) my husband was that we needed to kiss each other every night before falling asleep. Yes, I also told him (okay, made him) kiss me before either of us left anywhere without the other since it could be the last time we ever saw each other. No, I don't think I was being morbid, I just feel that if something were to ever happen to one of us we at least would have said good-bye. Anyway, we don't always remember to kiss each other good night especially after bickering but when I saw this decal from Vinyl Disorder I knew I had to have it over my headboard to remind us nightly about our deal even when upset with each other. Viny Disorder creates custom Die-Cut Vinyl Decals for your car, wall, business, motorcycle, boat, and more.
The decal came rolled up in a tube a few days after ordering. It came with instructions, unfortunately it didn't come with an application tool but I happened to have a hard squeegee. You can use a credit card if you don't have a squeegee available.
Before I put the decal on my bedroom wall I wiped it down with alcohol to make sure it is clean and free from dust particles.
1. Use a squeegee on the top layer of the transfer tape to make sure the middle vinyl sticker lettering layer adheres to the bottom layer. Pic 1
2. Position the decal to the wall. Do hinge mount by taping the middle of the transfer with masking or painters tape since it will be acting as a hinge while you position the transfer tape. Use a measuring tape to help center and position the decal exactly where you want it. Secure it with the tape on the sides when you get it centered. Pics: 2-4
3. Remove the paper backing at a 45 degree angle slowly so you can be sure the sticker stays stuck to the top layer of transfer tape. If the vinyl does stick to the paper, move the transfer paper back or use the squeegee over it to get the vinyl to re-stick. Pic 5
4. Using the squeegee rub firmly over the top layer of the sticker to make sure it sticks to the wall surface. Pic 6
5. Peel the transfer tape off the vinyl at a 45 degree angle very slowly, so you can make sure the the vinyl sticks to the wall and not the paper. Once again if it does stick to the paper use the squeegee to rub that part back down. Keep your hand close to the transfer tape where removing to have the right tension necessary. You can go over the vinyl with the squeegee to make sure there are no air bubbles or unstuck areas. Work from the center out to make sure you don't catch the vinyl tips. Pic 7-8
My son is the one who helped me put the decal up. It was fairly easy to apply and took about 15 minutes in total. I think it is definately easier to put up wall decals than to paint!

That is so cute! I think they did a great job with it. I can definitely see me getting something like this for a live one.
