About Heart and Soul:

Further complicating their new romance, Jack and Elizabeth must part company so that Jack can return to Hope Valley and his duties as a Mountie. Elizabeth, however, remains in Hamilton, where she finds herself tending to her family and spending time with the handsome Charles Kensington. Meanwhile, back in Hope Valley, Rosemary has been offered a role in a play in San Francisco and makes preparations to leave with her two producers. When Jack learns that the "producers", have taken Rosemary in the opposite direction, for New York, he races after them to rescue her… a gamble that ends up being the talk of the town when he and Rosemary spend a night together.

My thoughts:
I decided this month to start telling you about some of the interesting characters this time so you can get a better idea of why I love to watch this series.

With the coal mine closed Mr Gowan is out of a job, he wants Leland (Lee) Coulter to hire him as a consultant, when he refuses Mr. Gowan threatens him. Lee seems to be a generous man by donating money and his labor towards the building of a new school/church.  Mr Gowan forces the mayor to retire allowing him to end up as Hope Valley's interim mayor since he is head of the towns council. Gowan is clearly up to no good.

A con artist named Floyd and his daughter Annabel come to town and he is mistaken for the new pastor, Frank Hogan. The impostor is in the middle of a wedding when the real Pastor Frank Hogan appears. The Pastor seems likable but after asking Jack to build a pulpit for him with a cabinet that locks it makes me wonder what he wants to hide, then again he is asking the Mountie to build it so maybe it isn't for something bad. I guess I am just going to have to wait impatiently for the next episode to come out to find out.

There is trouble  with the budding romance between Abigail and Bill when she is visited by a woman claiming to be Bill's wife, Nora. Bill has left town for a criminal investigation so Abigail can't talk to him about this accusation.  Abigail goes to Hamilton in search of her daughter in law, Clara.  She ends up seeing Bill there but she is still upset so she doesn't allow him to explain Nora's accusation. I am very curious to hear what he has to say.

Rosemary is kidnapped and Jack ends up rescuing her, she makes a big scene as they come through town about Jack saving her giving the townspeople something to talk about. What is Elizabeth going to think when she hears about it? I have to say that I do like Rosemary's zest for life.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth is still in Hamilton enjoying herself with her family and Charles. Elizabeth's sister Julie is attracted to Jack's brother Tom, apparently she just likes to have a good time no matter the consequences. Does Elizabeth decide to stay with her family and their luxurious lifestyle or does she decide to go back to Hope Valley and the Mountie she loves?
