About Heart of the Family:

Elizabeth returns to Hope Valley and immediately volunteers to look after a neighbor’s rural homestead… and his two children, an undertaking which proves to be a bigger chore than she’d imagined. But when Jack lends a hand, and they wind up chatting by the fire, all seems right in Hope Valley and the world. Meanwhile, in Hamilton, Bill Avery sets about busting a counterfeiting ring wide open, an endeavor which surprisingly leads him to Hope Valley, where he mysteriously declines Jack’s help. But Bill isn’t the only big-town visitor: Elizabeth is even more surprised to see her former suitor, Charles Kensington, standing right in the middle of her schoolhouse!

My thoughts:

Elizabeth returns to Hope Valley much to everyones delight especially Jack's. Lee is reading the newspaper where there is a picture on the front page of Jack riding into town with Rosemary after he rescued her. Fortunately for Jack it turns out that Elizabeth is not jealous about Rosemary anymore. I found this episode to be very amusing especially when Elizabeth volunteers to take care of a couple of children when the father has to leave town, the problem is she that she doesn't know a thing about farm life. I laughed when she has to learn how to milk a cow, use a water pump and clean the muck from the stalls of the horses and cows. The school/church building is finished and looks amazing.  Jack gives  Elizabeth a cow bell on the first day of school  and the kids tell her they renamed their cow Lizzie. Elizabeth gets the joke and has a good laugh about it.

Lee has big plans for the town and tells Jack which the mayors wife overhears. Apparently she isn't happy about her husband losing his social standing so she tells Mr. Gowan about Lee's plans. Lee and Jack decide to go after Mr. Gowan when they suspect that he is the one who sabotages Lee's plans.

Bill attempts to explain to Abigail about Nora when he comes through town on a job but she won't listen. I wonder how that situation is going to work out. Abigail is happy that Clara has decided to live with her.

Charles shows up in Hope Valley in hopes of convincing Elizabeth to go back home. Jack uses a fishing analogy to help Charles understand how being yourself is important to a woman. Jack sees Elizabeth kiss Charles on the cheek and he doesn't look to happy about it, with Charles coming to Hope Valley now due to work, I wonder if new tensions will arise.

Rosemary has finally realized that Jack's heart belongs to Elizabeth, consequently she starts hanging around Lee who seems equally infatuated with her. She starts hounding Lee to build a theater however he he is in no hurry to build one, as a result Rosemary gives Lee a performance that he finds so amusing he  then decides to have one build for her. Will Rosemary and Lee end up together? Can he be the one who finally tames her?

Meanwhile in Hamilton, Julie is continuing to see Tom. I have a bad feeling that something bad is going to happen with them.
