Olde Westport Spice Company produces custom spice blends, seasonings and dry soups. All of the products use quality ingredients for a balanced flavor that compliments meats, pastas and vegetables. These spice blends and seasonings include Beef Sauce, Garlic, Italian, Cajun,  Chili, Jalapeno, Salsa, Taco, Fajita, and more. The dry soup mixes are intended to be simple and easy to make like Creamy Broccoli and Cheese, Kansas City Steak & Ale, Gold Coast Garlic Pasta Alfredo, Antonio's Minestrone, Country-Style Creamy Potato, Chipotle Black Bean, Mesa Flats Chicken Enchilada, New Orleans Red Bean & Rice, Southwestern Tortilla, and White Chili Soup. There are also cookbooks available for Salsas, Cajun, Beef Sauce, garlic, chili verde, Italian, Enchilada, and Special Blend that you can purchase separately or as a set.

I was sent two spices and three soup blends to try:

Gold Coast Garlic Shake ~ This special blend has garlic, Chili Caribe, herbs and spices that you can use to flavor garlic bread, pastas, sour cream dips, vegetables, garlic mashed potatoes or grilled steaks. My favorite is actually on popcorn.

Championship Chili Spice Blend ~ This blended spice helped give my chili beans with ham a nice kick. It has everything to spice up the chili so all I need to add is the meat, beans
tomato sauce and water. I do add chopped onions and shredded cheese on top before serving.

Chili Verde ~ Use this soup packet for soups, sauces, pork roast, posole and more.  I went online and found a recipe for Posole. It had a nice green chili taste without heat. My 11 year old enjoyed it and he doesn't do spicy food.

Smokey Canyon Mesquite ~ This seasoning gives all kinds of meat a nice outdoor smokey flavor. We found it especially good on beef, chicken, and fish.

Chicken Enchilada Soup ~ This gluten free dry soup mix has corn flour, chile pepper, salt and spices. You mix it with cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup and water. It is ready in about 30 minutes and tastes wonderful. I like to add tortilla strips and shredded cheese on top before I serve it. This soup has become a family favorite.

Olde Westport Spice and Trading Co. is owned and operated by Bill and Judy Petersen, who along with their daughter, Ann Myers, also own and run a restaurant (Westport Grill) in Goodland featuring the products. Bill first custom created all of the spices and seasonings in the kitchen of his home. Now Bill researches and develops new recipes and dishes for future products at their manufacturing company.  Visit Olde Westport Spice to learn more.
