I sure made a big mistake the first time I decided to purchase a set of knives from our local store. Thinking about saving money I bought what I thought would be a nice matching set of knives at a decent price. It didn't take very long to discover that they were a very cheaply made set, they are flimsy and needed constant sharpening. I have used a ceramic paring knife before which I found it to my liking so I decided to try the Passion Gusto CATANA Series  after a friend bought a set and highly recommended it.

This set of ceramic knives come nestled in a thick sturdy box with a magnetic closure which provides plenty of protection. Even though the blades are rounded for safety purposes so I could keep them in my kitchen drawer, I chose to put them in the wooden block that once held the useless cheap knives that I ended up throwing away after using these ones and liking them much better.

The blade is thick and very sharp

The handles are black and soft, they fit in my hand perfectly.

The blades are very sharp slicing through tomatoes and meat effortlessly. I am very satisfied with the quality of these knives.  I am so glad to finally have a nice durable set of knives that I haven't had to sharpen before each use. I can actually wash these strong knives in the dishwasher if I desire.
