About the When Calls the Heart Series:

From celebrated author Janette Oke (The Love Comes Softly series) comes a rigorous and romantic adventure as epic as the wide frontier. Erin Krakow (Army Wives), Daniel Lissing (Eye Candy), Jack Wagner (Melrose Place) and Lori Loughlin (Full House, 90210) star in When Calls The Heart, “a beautiful story with roots in relationships, self-empowerment, and the enduring power of love” (Common Sense Media).

About "Troubled Hearts":Big revelations are in store for Hope Valley as Elizabeth moves into her own row house, dismaying Jack, who has been planning to build a new home for the both of them. Rosemary discovers that Lee has taken out a loan and worries that he is in financial difficulties. And Jesse, the young drifter who works in Abigail’s kitchen, has information that could ruin Pastor Frank’s good standing in Hope Valley, and begins his plan to extort the pastor with an old “Wanted” poster…

My thoughts:
In the second DVD of the third season Elizabeth is excited to move into a home of her own to show Jack that she is ready to settle down and make Hope Valley her home.

Each DVD has two episodes from the When Calls the Heart series that is on the Hallmark Channel. In Troubled Hearts there are lots of humorous moments such as; after getting interrupted during private dinner at the jail Jack and Elizabeth joke about having to plan a dinner at the stables in order to have some privacy together, Elizabeth tries using an anecdote supplied to her by Rosemary "keep your man busy so he isn't in a tizzy" to which Jack replies "I read Rosemary's column too!", and Rosemary redecorating Lee's office to his dismay.

Bill Avery turns out to be a very nice guy, he ends up buying  Henry Gowan's portion of Abigail's restaurant to help out Abigail when Henry tries to sell his portion to another party who wants to upgrade the restaurant which would cost way more than Abigail can afford. Bill finds out that Dottie Ramsey is dealing with a crook whom he threatens and gets her money back to her.

Pastor Frank Hogan is hounded by Jesse, a member of the Garrison Gang, to help them do another job. Jesse starts working at Abigail's and seems interested in Clara. Abigail learns about Frank Hogan AKA Matt Landry's past from a wanted poster purposely left on her door. Fortunately, Jack finds out the truth and is revealing his findings to Abigail just as Frank shows up fully intending on telling Abigail all about his past. She informs him that she needs to think about being able to trust him again. Once word gets around about the pastor's past everyone begins ignoring him.

This time Elizabeth is the one who confronts Gowan when she finds out that he had a secret meeting where they decided to fire the Pastor. She insists that Frank be allowed to talk to the congregation, which he does. She then insists that the congregation be allowed to vote like a democracy instead of a select few making the decision. It was wonderful to see mercy and forgiveness shown to Frank as they voted to keep him on.

Rosemary finally sees that she has been meddling in Lee's life after she mistakenly thinks he is destitute. She ends up telling Lee that she doesn't need a theater she tells him her being a busy body is just her way of trying to be involved in his life.

I can't wait to be able to view the two next episodes of the series with the next DVD release of When Calls the Heart's "Troubled Hearts". View the trailer here. Visit here to learn more and you can purchase a copy on Amazon.
