I love surprising my dogs, Redford and Trixie, with special treats. Canned food is something that they don't get too much off due to their delicate tummies so it is a treat whenever I add it to their dry kibble. With Thanksgiving coming up next month I decided to give them a holiday surprise of a case Thanksgiving Day Dinner from Merrick that they could enjoy.

They just might end up getting it for Christmas Day dinner also if I can hide at least one can, with twelve 12.7 ounce size cans it shouldn't be a problem.

Both dogs came running as I opened up the can. I can't say I blamed them since it smelled just like a delicious turkey dinner and not at all like dog food. With turkey, chicken, sweet potatoes, carrots, green beans, apples, peas, potatoes, cranberries, and blueberries plus added Vitamins and minerals, It does not contain artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, therefore, I feel good about feeding it to them.

I split the first can between them both dogs, they absolutely loved their pre-Thanksgiving treat. After this, I waited a couple of days before I started adding a bit to their dry kibble as a treat. This way they don't get diarrhea from too much soft food.
