Natural Skin Shop Review and Giveaway - ends 9/6

Natural Skin Shop provides Chemical Peels, Moisturizers and Serums, Treatments, Cleanse & Tone, Exfoliate & Scrub products. Having noticed lots of brown spots and old acne scars on my face I opted for a chemical peel to see if it would eliminate them or at least fade them. Natural Skin Shop has many different peels that you can find by many different categories. When I was checking out the site to see what products I would be interested in, the chat now window popped up with a live Licensed Esthetician asking if I needed help. Considering I did not know enough about the products to pick the right item for my skin type and condition,  I asked the helper which chemical peel would be appropriate for me. After telling the Esthetician about my age, skin type, and my very sensitive skin, the Glycolic 50% Chemical Peel was suggested. I chose to heed her suggestion and ordered the Glycolic Acid 50% Medium Peel Kit. 

This kit includes:

• Glycolic 10% Daily Exfoliator 2oz (60ml)
• Peel Prep Solution 2oz (60ml)
• Glycolic 50% Medium Peel 2oz (60ml)
• 100% Hyaluronic Replenish Serum 2oz (60ml)

You will need the Neutralizer that is purchased separately from the kit.

 • Neutralizer Solution Spray 16oz (480ml)

After doing the recommended patch test behind my ear and getting no reaction plus using the Daily Exfoliator for a week prior to the peel, I decided I was ready to start the chemical peel. I applied the Peel Prep Solution, followed by the Glycolic 50% Medium Peel. It did burn a little bit but I kept checking my face to make sure it was turning red or blistering. I left it on the four minutes for a first time peel. I sprayed the Neutralizer Solution Spray, and then rinsed off with cool water. After drying my face I used the 100% Hyaluronic Replenish Serum. My face was a pink color for a little while but that was all that happened. My brown spots were still on my face. A week and a half after the first peel I decided to try it again. This time I left the peel on 15 minutes and noticed the brown patches were just a little bit lighter. Again, no blistering, peeling, or swelling. I will try again at a later time because I do feel that this peel will work if I do it enough times. I would rather do it more times with this gentle formula than do a stronger peel and get a strong reaction.
