Sandgrens: Noori Clogs Review

Sandgrens Clogs started as leather foundry in Sweden. They were one of the largest clog makers in the world and are still considered to be one of the oldest. In 1948, one of the the clog makers, Sven Carlson, left the company and began his own with an new trendy image and name. He expanded his business from the European market to include the North American market as well. In the 70's, Americans became clog crazy and Sven's company and Sandgren's flourished. In the middle 80's the clog went out of fashion and Sandgren's closed down. Sven's son Christer purchased the old Sandgren's equipment, styles, and the rights to sell their products with Sandgren's name on them.

In the 70's I owned several pairs of clogs and I loved them. I liked how they looked with jeans and dresses, I was sure disappointed when I couldn't find them anywhere because they had gone out of fashion. When I found Sandgren's clogs online, I was excited to try a pair. I choose the Noori because I love the fawn color with the unique and stylish weaving on the side of the Horween nubuc leather. These clogs are made with a soft leather and have a dark Spanish pine wood base that have a heel height of 3.9 inches. They are decorated with a hand carved owl in the leather and secured with antique brass colored brads that have a 1/4 in. head.

You can see the details of the owl and the brads.
I think these clogs are very chic and comfortable to wear. Not only am I happy to be able to wear these with jeans and dresses again, I am looking forward to wear them with capris this summer. I especially like that they add an extra 3+ inches to my height.

They carry men's and women's clogs in a variety of styles, colors, and heel heights. Check out the new spring and summer collection at SandgrensYou can connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to hear about specials and promotions.
