John Boos: Newton Prep Master Butcher's Block Review and Giveaway - ends 10/23

I received the NEWTON PREP MASTER WITH PAN:

• This Edge Grain Constructed Butcher Block is made from Hard Rock Maple, it measures 15"x14"x2-1/4" and comes with a stainless steel tray that measures 5-3/4x8-1/2x1-1/8", that catches whatever you cut up. The Stainless Steel tray is safe for all food preparations. This board weight eight pounds and it is very sturdy. 

• It is recommended that you use Boos Block® Cream w/ Beeswax Finish or mineral oil before you first use the block and every two weeks after. 

•  This cutting board is reversible, you can use the tray on the top of the block or on the bottom. If you use the tray on the top, the food slides easily into the tray. I always forget to grab a plate to put the food on when I am chopping. Now, with the tray on the board I am always prepared.

• If you use it with the tray on the bottom, the sloped juice groove along the side of the block will drain any juice into the tray.

I have spent so much money on cutting boards and butchers blocks that I ended up being disappointed in, due to their flimsiness or how they would end up splitting. This butchers block looks so beautiful on my kitchen counter that I am proud to display it.
