Last fall we had some drainage problems around the water spigot where we had a drip system with a timer set up to water our front yard plants and trees. I recently started planting flower seeds for Spring and Summer flowers which meant that I had to drag the long, heavy garden hose around to each flower bed in order to keep them watered. I also would drag the hose back to where it belongs and roll it back up to keep the area looking neat. I had been watching some ads about expandable hoses so when the opportunity arose for me to review one you can bet I was ready to jump on it.

The hose I was sent by Quality Source Products came with a sprayer head that has six different spraying options; mist, full, shower, cone, flat, center, and jet. The material around the hose is very soft while the inside hose feels strong and durable. This hose is the strongest hose available at 100-PSI (pounds per square inch) working pressure and has 300-PSI (pounds per square inch) burst pressure.

The hose measures 33 ft before expanding.

With water pressure the hose expands up to 3 times its size.
The fittings are made of plastic and it is easy for me to put on the spigot without any leaking. I can't seem to put them on tight enough to keep them from leaking. The moisture in the photos above is from the old hose leaking out the water that was still in it. Another great feature about this hose for me is the fact that it expands up to 100 ft. allowing me to be able to water the plants in both side yards and the front yard.

I was just amazed at how light the hose is, no more pulling a heavy hose and having to go back and untangling the hose from around the rocks since I can roll it on my arm and easily carry it without any problem, which means no tangling or kinks! Not only is this hose great for irrigating my garden but it will also be great to use to wash our vehicles. This would make a great gift for someone you know who enjoys watering but has limited strength in their arms or for someone who has a boat, RV, or anywhere they might need a great lightweight hose.
