I noticed that my Yorkie has seasonal allergies that causes her to be kind of wheezy and she would also suffer some stomach distress. After being on a gluten free diet to help me with my allergies I decided to test and see if grains could be causing her problems. The dog food and treats both had to be gluten free so I was thrilled when I discovered that WHIMZEES Dental Chews are gluten free. She has really bad teeth but hates her teeth being brushed, so it has been really difficult to find a treat she likes enough to actually chew it.

The treats come in a toothbrush shape, in three different colors; green, brown, and orange. I ordered the Xtra Small size that is recommended for dogs that weigh 5-15 lbs. Small, Medium, Large sizes are available for bigger dogs. Seeing Trixie chew on them make me happy since I know they are cleaning her teeth. I would show her teeth but she gets nippy whenever someone wants to go near her mouth.

Our new adopted dog, Redford, also came to us with teeth issues. After chewing on these treats for a few weeks I can see a big difference in the amount of tartar and plaque on his teeth.  I really wish I would have thought to take a picture of Redford's teeth before giving him these dental treats.
