I am always on the look out for gluten free snacks that will satisfy a sugar craving, have low calories, keep me full in between meal times and above all they must taste good. "GoMacro is a family-owned vegan company that was started by a mother-daughter team on their organic farm in Southwest Wisconsin." I tried their GoMacro bar a few months ago and found them to be yummy and satiating. Their new Thrive bars have all the wonderful qualities that the GoMacro products do; USDA-Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher, Gluten-Free certified, 100% Vegan, low glycemic and soy-free. They are made with a superfood ancient grain blend, are all less than 200 calories and provide plant-based protein, essential fatty acids, and prebiotic fiber to fuel your body and mind. There are six flavor varieties to choose from; Caramel Coconut, Ginger Lemon, Blueberry Lavender, Almond Apricot, Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, and Chocolate Nuts & Sea Salt.

Coconut and caramel are two of my favorite treats to eat so I tried that bar first. I found that the Caramel Coconut bar tastes more like coconut than caramel, it has just enough caramel to slightly sweeten it. I have to warn you that the bars are addicting, before I knew it I had eaten the whole bar. Next, I had the Ginger Lemon and I gotta tell you that it has the perfect balance of lemon and ginger. Definitely not candy bar sweet but satisfyingly sweet and savory. Without telling them the flavors, I gave my husband and son each a bite of the bar and asked them what they tasted. Each of them stated that is was lemon, neither one tasted the ginger while that is the one that stood out the most for me. After my husband stated how good it was and that he would eat more I knew that I had found the perfect replacement for his evening candy bar cravings.
